OK, who knows some great restaurants in the D.C. area?  Is there any particular restaurant you would recommend to a new colleague?  Washingtonian.Com provides a list of the 100 very best restaurants in the area.

Our great local bookstore Politics and Prose has a coffee shop/restaurant called the Modern Times Coffeehouse.   It is walking distance to our campus and faces Connecticut Avenue.  You can  walk to a Starbucks (5500 Connecticut Ave.), an Italian restaurant Arucola, a Greek restaurant Parthenon, a Safeway supermarket, a few liquor stores, and more!!  But remember, the best place to eat lunch is at the campus Lunch Club.

Guapos, located at 4515 Wisconsin Avenue, N.W., offers great Mexican cuisine.  Try Lebanese food at Connecticut Avenue’s Lebanese Taverna, or any one of the multi-ethnic restaurants in Adams Morgan.  For a listing of Georgetown restaurants, click here.  Downtown Bethesda, Maryland, also showcases diverse cuisine from around the world.  Check them out as well!  Most places are metro-accessible.  Nearby Friendship Heights on Wisconsin Avenue offers department stores, cinema, shops, restaurants, etc.
